Services — gas, water, waste

🔥 Gas

Bray, Greystones and Wicklow town all stock Campingaz and Kosangas. The county is compact enough that you're never far from a large town — even heading into the mountains you're within 30 minutes of supplies.

💧 Water

Bray Leisure Centre and Wicklow town leisure centre both do day passes. Aughrim and Rathdrum garages will fill tanks. Close proximity to Dublin means services are never scarce on the main routes.

🗑 Waste disposal

Wicklow town bring centre and Rathnew recycling facility are the main options. Chemical toilet disposal: Roundwood Caravan Park allows non-guests to use dump points in quieter months — call ahead to confirm.

📡 Connectivity

Excellent along the coast and main roads — you're within Dublin's network. The Wicklow Mountains interior has predictable gaps. The Glendalough valley floor is fine; above Sally Gap, assume no signal.

Seasonal reality

Jan–Mar

Cold, quiet, beautiful. Snow on the Sally Gap is a real possibility. Glendalough without crowds is special. Brittas Bay yours entirely.

Apr–May

Best window. Spring on the Military Road. Glendalough before the school tours arrive. Brittas Beach coming alive.

Jun–Aug

Glendalough and Brittas get very busy — Dubliners treat Wicklow as their beach. Go early morning or push to Lough Dan.

Sep–Nov

Autumn colours in the Wicklow Mountains are underrated. September is one of the best months in the county. Empty Brittas Bay.
